Invitation to join NIFTeY NSW

Would you like to join a NSW NIFTeY e-mail list?

NIFTeY NSW formed in 2006.

It follows the aims of NIFTeY Australia in the NSW context.

Membership is conditional upon a commitment to the objectives of NIFTeY Australia and NIFTeY NSW and is otherwise open and actioned through emailing our current chairperson, Trish Brown - email: tbrown@burnside.org.au.

Potential members will be interested in joining the NIFTeY Listserve, with an indication to NIFTeY NSW e-mail list manager of your interest in receiving communication.

NIFTeY NSW meets every second month and welcomes any member.

Any member may place an item on the agenda by emailing the chair, and then speaking to the item at the meeting.

NIFTeY NSW's activities include:

  • providing submissions to:
    • the NSW Draft State Plan;
    • the Wood Commission of Inquiry into Child Protection Services in NSW;
    • the Federal Productivity Commission on Paid Parental Leave.
  • holding a well-attended Forum on Integrated Children's Services.
  • our current project of following up the Forum by developing a position statement on Integrated Children's Services, which we may label as Child and Family Learning Centres.

NIFTeY NSW would like to extend communication further than the committee by emailing agendas, minutes and any materials produced to a wider NSW audience of interested NIFTeY members.
