NIFTeY SA: Awards for Excellence in the Early Years

About the Awards

The National Investment for the Early Years is an advocacy group that promotes the importance of providing the best possible environments for young children.

The intention of the Awards is to:

  • showcase what can be achieved in providing supportive environments for young children and their families
  • stimulate and inspire others to follow examples of excellence
  • publicly recognise individuals, community groups and organisations who have made an outstanding contribution to provision of supportive environments for young children and their families.

Individuals and organisations from the public, private and community sectors who have made an outstanding contribution during the current year or given outstanding service to young children (birth to age five) and their families over a number of ears are eligible for these awards.

Awards are made in four categories and, in each category, for individuals, medium size organisations and larger organisations.

Support for Children

This category recognises outstandng achievement in provision of supportive conditions for children in the multiple environments within which they are present.

Services Supporting Parents/Caregivers/Families

This category recognises outstanding achievement in supporting parents and caregivers to maximise the development and welbeing of young children.

Business Support to Families

This category recognises overall outstanding achievement in the provision of work practices that respond to the needs of employees with family responsibilities.

Promotion of Early Childhood Issues

This category recognises the importance of raising community awareness about the significance of the early years.
